Summary of Candidate Professional/Civic Background:

I bring a diverse professional background spanning the financial services, service, and small business sectors. My experience includes working as a bank teller, personal banker, and bank manager, followed by a career as a licensed professional home inspector. I am currently a small business owner.

In addition to my professional experience, I have been actively involved in my community. I have volunteered with the Pearland Parks Department and participated in citywide community cleanup initiatives. I have also served on my homeowners association board, contributing to neighborhood governance and community decision-making.

Why would you be an effective leader in this role?

I have always approached my work and service with thoughtfulness, consistency, and respect for others. These values guide my decision-making and inform how I treat the people I serve.

My experience in banking, customer service, and small business ownership has given me a strong understanding of accountability, fairness, and sound judgment. I have worked closely with people from all walks of life and understand the importance of listening, impartiality, and applying rules consistently. These experiences have prepared me to administer justice fairly and equitably for a diverse community.

What platform points that are important to you?

If elected Justice of the Peace, I will be fair and impartial, with unwavering loyalty to the law. Every individual who enters my courtroom will be treated with dignity, respect, and compassion.

I will be visible, accessible, and engaged in the community. I believe the office of Justice of the Peace should be a positive and trusted presence, and I am committed to educating the public about the role of the court and its services. Through active community involvement, I will work to ensure the Justice of the Peace court serves the people with integrity, transparency, and professionalism.

Justice of the Peace Pct 4, Place 2-Stephanie Baird

Candidate Bio: My name is Stephanie Baird; I am a veteran, a nurse, and an Ally. I am also running for Brazoria County Justice of the Peace, Precinct 4 Place 2.
I’m a native Texan but briefly lived in both Florida and Saudi Arabia
when I was young. In 2005, I separated from the US Coast Guard and
enrolled in school for aircraft mechanics, graduating in 2006. I left
aviation and attended Alvin Community College for nursing, graduating
in 2010.

In almost 16 years of experience as a nurse I have worked in
correctional, mental health and substance abuse facilities. This gives me
a unique perspective and advantage that I can bring to this office. My
medical background is also a benefit when considering inquests since
Brazoria Co. does not have any death investigators currently.
I will uphold the same high ethical standard on the bench as I do in my
nursing career. I will also advocate for de-stigmatizing mental health
and substance use disorders, and encourage harm reduction, and
education. I will also continue to fight for marginalized communities; I
believe diversity makes the community.

Vote for Ethics, Education, and Empathy.

Vote Stephanie Baird for Brazoria County Justice of the Peace 4-2.
